This is one of the most basic tenants of what we believe at SALT. It allows for a new lens in which to view the world. It helps us to get curious about our own behaviors, the behaviors of others, our relationships, our family and work relations, and even efforts around the world. When we can connect behaviors to human needs, we position ourselves to have greater clarity, and this frees up so much stress on the mind and body. Having a better understanding of why people may be acting in a certain way helps us to take things less personally and to approach life from a more empathetic place. The best part about this practice is that shifts happen even with only one person – US, each of us individually consistently operating from this place.
